Fall 2021 Open House Schedule!

In order to perform at Lotus Steps, you will have to come out to our Open House (also known as “Auditions”) in order to get a formal placement within one of our dances. At Open House, instructors will be teaching a short portion of the dance and you will be given the opportunity to learn and try out each dance to see which dance you are comfortable with. Afterwards, you will receive an email of your placement into a dance that suits you the most. If you find that you like more than one dance, please reach out to me or the artistic director, Yuetong, and we will see if that can be done. There are no cuts, so everyone is guaranteed a spot in at least one dance, so no worries if you are just starting out or have no experience in dance!

You do not have to stay the entire time; You can refer to the schedule below and come during the times your dance is being offered.

Introducing CCDC’s theme for this year’s Lotus Steps: 绽放 Blooming

Through various dance pieces which encompass both Chinese traditional dance and folk dance styles, we aim to showcase the colorful cultural landscape of China—blooming like a field of a hundred flowers.
